Delete your account and data
You can delete your GigOdo account and every piece of data our server holds about you at any time, without contacting us. Here is how, and exactly what happens.
Option 1: in the app or on the web
Settings → Account & Sync → sign in if you are not already → Delete account
This works in the Android app and at app.gigodo.app in any browser - you do not need the app installed. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Option 2: by email
Email support@gigodo.app from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my GigOdo account". We verify the request against the account email and complete it within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (email address and password hash)
- All synced data: trips, fuel logs, earnings entries, and settings
- Weekly recap summaries and email preferences
- AI digests generated for your account
- Any feedback-board posts and replies
Deletion from our live systems is immediate. Encrypted server backups that may contain your data are retained for up to 30 days before they age out; backups are never used to restore deleted accounts.
What is not deleted
- Data on your phone. Trips, fuel, and earnings stored on your own device belong to you and are untouched. Uninstall the app or use its reset option to remove them.
- Payment records. If you purchased GigOdo Pro, our payment processor (Stripe) retains transaction records as required by financial regulations. We never see or store your card details.
Just want to stop the emails? You can turn off the weekly recap in Settings or with the unsubscribe link in any recap email - no need to delete your account.
