These terms are an agreement between you and GigOdo ("we," "us") covering the GigOdo mobile app, web app, and sync service. By installing or using GigOdo you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
GigOdo tracks driving distance, earnings you record, fuel costs, and estimated tax deductions for gig-economy work. It is a record-keeping and planning tool.
GigOdo is not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. Mileage figures depend on GPS conditions and device behavior and may be inaccurate or incomplete; deduction and cost figures are estimates computed from data and rates you supply. You are responsible for verifying any figures before relying on them, including in tax filings. Do not interact with the app while driving.
You must be at least 18. Keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service (including attempts to breach security, resell access, or disrupt other users).
Your trip and earnings data belongs to you. You can export it at any time in standard formats. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
GigOdo is currently free during beta. If paid plans are introduced, pricing and terms will be presented before you are charged, and continued use of free features will not be conditioned on retroactive payment.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the GigOdo apps for their intended purpose. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service except where law permits.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep sync online but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may modify or discontinue features. The app is designed to keep working offline with your local data if sync is unavailable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or tax outcomes, arising from your use of GigOdo. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $10 if you paid nothing).
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
